Hockenheim 2008

Fourth round of the European Championship. Arrival on Thursday under a superb and cloudless sky. Promising!, but by nightfall dark clouds gather over the circuit and moments later it is raining cats and dogs... It takes until friday late afternoon before the first run can be made and the FIA classes are up first.
The first qualy run is a homerun, a new personal best of 5.86s / 394 km as you like and no tire shake. No one else manages to go under 6 sec so we are first qualifier.

Saturday morning, the weather is lovely and we are ready to race! Again a very consistent 5.87s / 398 km run, no one else goes under 6 sec, still first qualifier!
On the second run of the day, massive tire shake, Danny needs to let go of the throttle and take the first emergency exit of the track, we check everything upon return in the pits because this must have been one of the most severe shakes we ever had... We end up 3rd qualifier and have to race Jurgen Nagel in the first elimination.
Again, a severe tire shake takes us out of the race, too bad, but with a new PB of 5.86 sec, everybody is really happy with the racing week-end in Hockenheim.
