Santa Pod

For the last round of the European Championship we went to Santa Pod, this time with perfect weather for good racing.

On the first qualifying day we were struggling with heavy tire shake and wheel spin. In the 3rd run on Saturday the same story. The car went aggressively of the line but went immediately into tire shake. We had to come up with a different plan for the last qualifying run.

That run Danny managed to set a 6,45 with tire shake at 100 feet. A step forward in the right direction. Now we had to go in eliminations as 6th qualifier which sets us against the number 1 Ulf Leanders.

We needed to step up a little bit. Unfortunately Danny took a red light, but the car seemed to behave well and he set a 5,80 on the clock

Despite the lost elimination round we still had a good feeling about the ET we had put down. We ended up as fourth in the European Championship.

Our congratulations to Ulf Leanders and his team for winning the European Championship title and for setting a new European ET record.

Danny's season is over, but Danny's Racing Team will be campaigning Sandro Bellio's '55 Bel Air Funny Car at the National Finals at Santa Pod in two weeks.
